We have spent the week getting to know one another through our Me Bags or our virtual Me Bags on our iPads. We used the PicCollage app to create those. Students had a choice of sharing either their actual bag or their PicCollage.
Our motto in first grade is KINDNESS. So, we spent a great deal of time talking about actions that demonstrate kindness and what makes a kind person. We all agreed that our class is full of kindness!
Along with getting to know one another and defining kindness, we also worked on sorting manipulatives by attributes, comparing Kindergarten to First Grade, and learning what stamina means in our reading.
I'm so excited about the school year ahead! This group has already shown they are ready to jump in with both feet! Enjoy a few pictures of our first week!
